Osteopathy in the Cranial Field
THE SACRUM’S CONNECTED TO THE ETHMOID, AND THE DIAPHRAGM’S CONNECTED TO THE BIG TOE!
The sacrum is a bone consisting of 5 fused vertebrae. It sits at the bottom of the spine, in between the two hips bones, connecting to the skull via a tough membrane called the Dura Mater.
The main principle of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field (OCF) lies in this anatomical connection and the subtle palpation of a rhythm or “field” that it projects.
OCF is a very gentle treatment modality where the osteopath gently works with this rhythm.
THE MAGIC THAT LIES WITHIN OCF is hard to articulate. A great modality for anyone, particularly after accident or trauma (including birth) or for chronic conditions. My studies in OCF are varied and diverse and continue to this day...
Once a student, forever a student.
